Ali Sabbagh
Ali Sabbagh ( ar, علي صباغ; born 30 June 1979) is a Lebanese former football referee. He was a full international referee for FIFA between 2008 and 2013, before being banned for life from refereeing due to fixing a match in return for sexual favours. Career Sabbagh refereed in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, beginning with the match between Nepal and Timor-Leste. On 10 June 2013, the referee was sentenced to six months in jail by a Singapore court, after pleading guilty to influencing two linesmen to help fix an AFC Cup match which took place on 3 April 2013. He and the two linesmen "corruptly receiving gratification in the form of free sexual service", arranged by Singaporean businessman Eric Ding Si Yang. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has also banned Sabbagh from refereeing and attending stadiums. Aramoun, Aley
Aramoun ( ar, عرمون), often referred to as Dawhet Aramoun ( ar, دوحة عرمون), is a village in the Aley District of Mount Lebanon, Lebanon, lying to the east of Khalde and 22 kilometres away from Beirut. 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification (AFC)
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) section of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification saw 43 teams competing for 4 or 5 berths in the final tournament in Brazil. As in recent tournaments the AFC had four direct qualifiers for the finals tournament in addition to a further possible place via the intercontinental play-offs against CONMEBOL's fifth-placed team, which was chosen through a random draw, rather than being decided by FIFA beforehand as in previous tournaments (e.g., 2010 against a team from OFC, 2006 against a team from CONCACAF). The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
