Ali Mossafa
Ali Mosaffa ( fa, علی مصفا , born December 1, 1966) is an Iranian actor and director. Life and career Mosaffa was born in Tehran, Iran. His father, Mozaher Mosaffa (born in Tafresh), was a Persian poet and professor of Persian literature at the University of Tehran. Mosaffa's mother, Amir Banoo Karimi, is also a leading scholar and professor of Persian literature at the University of Tehran and the eldest daughter of the Persian poet, Seyed Karim Amiri Firuzkuhi. As a child, Mosaffa discovered his interest in story writing and English, contributing to his fluency in the language. He is a graduate of Civil engineering from the University of Tehran where he showed an interest in acting; making his debut in the 1991 film, Omid. Fajr Film Festival
Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بینالمللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The awards are the Iranian equivalent to the American Academy Awards. The festival has been promoted locally and internationally through television, radio and webinars; speakers have come from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Tahar Rahim (born 4 July 1981) is a Franco-Algerian actor. Bérénice Bejo (; born 7 July 1976) is a French-Argentine actress best known for playing Christiana in ''A Knight's Tale'' (2001) and Peppy Miller in '' The Artist'' (2011). ''The Last Step'' ( fa, پله آخر, Pelle âxar) is Ali Mosaffa's second feature film following Portrait of a Lady Far Away (2005) featuring Leila Hatami, Ali Mosaffa, and Alireza Aghakhani.
