Ali Gholi Agha Hammam
The Ali Gholi Agha hammam is a historical hammam in the Bidabad district of Isfahan, Iran. The hammam was built in 1713 by Ali Gholi Agha, who was a courtier of two Safavid kings Suleiman I and Sultan Husayn. Its architectural style is Isfahani and it was built in the late Safavid era. The structure consists of one large hammam and a small hammam and also a Howz. Each of these hammams consists of a dressing room and a Garmkhaneh (hothouse), so that they could be used in that time separately by men and women. Suleiman I Of Persia
Suleiman I (; born Sam Mirza, February or March 1648 – 29 July 1694) was the eighth and the penultimate Shah of Safavid Iran from 1666 to 1694. He was the eldest son of Abbas II and his concubine, Nakihat Khanum. Born as Sam Mirza, Suleiman spent his childhood in the harem among women and eunuchs and his existence was hidden from the public. When Abbas II died in 1666, his grand vizier, Mirza Mohammad Karaki, did not know that the shah had a son. Sultan Husayn
Soltan Hoseyn ( fa, شاه سلطان حسین, Soltān-Hoseyn; 1668 – 9 September 1727) was the Safavid shah of Iran from 1694 to 1722. He was the son and successor of Shah Solayman (). In traditional Persian architecture, a howz ( fa, حوض) is a centrally positioned symmetrical axis pool. If in a traditional house or private courtyard, it is used for bathing, aesthetics or both. If in a sahn of a mosque, it is used for performing ablutions. A howz is usually around deep. It may be used as a "theatre" for people to sit on all sides of the pool while others entertain. Khosro Agha Hammam
The Khosro Agha hammam ( fa, حمام خسروآقا) was a historical hammam in Iran. It was located in the Sepah street in Isfahan and belonged to the Safavid era. Its dressing room was changed to a store in 1975 and was damaged heavily, but then it was repaired. After a while, the extension of Ostandari street (Now: Hakim street) was decided, but because of passing of the street from the hammam, this project was canceled. In 1979, some of neighborhood residents rumored that vice and harlotry took place in the hammam and the hammam should be destroyed. Their motive for this rumor was that they wanted the new street to be constructed and consequently the costs of their estates to be increased. Finally in 1980 a bomb exploded in the hammam and only some columns remained from Garmkhaneh (hothouse).
