Alfriston College
Alfriston College is a secondary school in the suburb of Alfriston in Auckland, New Zealand. The College opened in 2004, and along with Botany Downs Secondary College, was the first state secondary school to be built in Auckland in 25 years (the last was Macleans College in 1980). It opened with year 9 students and expanded to cover more senior classes each year as the original students aged. From 2008, all secondary years (9–13) have been taught. Alfriston, New Zealand
Alfriston is a small suburb of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. Prior to November 2010 it was under the authority of the Papakura District Council and is now part of the enlarged Auckland city. The suburb is in the Manurewa-Papakura ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council. The town was settled in the 1840s and was named after Alfriston, Sussex, home of one of the earliest settlers, Dr George Edward Bodle. Sa Jordan Taufua (born 29 January 1992) is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays as a loose forward. Early career Born in Otahuhu, in the Auckland suburbs, Taufua was educated at Alfriston College before completing his schooling at Sacred Heart College in the city of Auckland. After finishing high school, he moved south to Christchurch to attend Lincoln University and while there he played local club rugby for them. Senior career Taufua's senior rugby career began in 2012 when he was loaned to the Tasman Mako by Canterbury before the season's commencement.
