Alfred Gresham Jones
Alfred Gresham Jones (1824–1915) was an Irish architect who moved to Australia after 1888. Jones was born in 1824 in Dublin, and attended the Royal Dublin Society's School of Architectural Drawing in the 1840s and spent time in London and with Irish architect John Skipton Mulvany before beginning his own career. His architect career in Ireland began in the 1850s, and by 1888 he had emigrated to Australia, but it is unclear if he continued his vocation. Royal Dublin Society
The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) ( ga, Cumann Ríoga Bhaile Átha Cliath) is an Irish philanthropic organisation and members club which was founded as the 'Dublin Society' on 25 June 1731 with the aim to see Ireland thrive culturally and economically. The RDS is synonymous with its 160,000 m2 campus in Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland. The premises include the ' RDS Arena', 'RDS Simmonscourt', 'RDS Main Hall' and other venues which are used regularly for exhibitions, concerts and sporting events like the Dublin Horse Show or as playground for the Leinster Rugby team.
