Alfonso Toledano, Jr.
Alfonso ("Picho") Toledano Jr. ( Mexico City, 18 Aug 1989) is a Mexican racing driver. He is the son of Alfonso Toledano, former Formula 3 driver. Career Toledano started his racing career in karting. In 2003, he was second in the 100cc class, beating among others future Formula One driver Sergio Pérez. The year after, he became champion. 2005 saw his debut in formula racing; he became tenth in Formula Renault Campus. In 2006, Toledano switched to the Panam GP Series and finished thirteenth. He also drove three out of five races of the International Formula Challenge, which got him to a seventh place in the championship. His 2007 Panam GP season was more successful; he scored two victories, which led to a third place in championship. However, in the fall of 2007, Toledano had a severe racing accident. Formula Acceleration 1
Formula Acceleration 1 (FA1) was a One-make racing, single make, Open-wheel car, open wheel auto racing series. It was unusual in its field in that competitors solely represented their nation as opposed to themselves or a team, the usual format in most formula racing series. FA1 was created in 2014 as the signature category in the Acceleration 2014 series of motorsport festivals. Rather than developing their own car, the series reduced costs substantially by using the Lola B05/52 which was used in the early years of the A1 Grand Prix series. They also continued to use the same 3.4 litre V8 engine built by Zytek Engineering. On 22 December 2014, it was announced that the series would be merged with 2015 Auto GP season, Auto GP in 2015. EuroInternational is a racing organization (which includes Italian division EuroInternational Srl and American division EuroInternational Inc.) owned by Antonio Ferrari, grandnephew of Enzo Ferrari, formerly known as Euromotorsport. History Originally known as Euromotorsport, the team made its CART debut in 1989 with Jean-Pierre Frey at Phoenix. After Frey was unable to complete the USAC Rookie Orientation Program at Indianapolis, the team signed Davy Jones (racing driver), Davy Jones, who qualified for the Indianapolis 500 and finished in 7th place in his only appearance for the team that year.
