Alf Joint
Alfred Charles Richard Joint (22 September 1927 – 25 July 2005) was a British film and television stunt performer, stunt coordinator and arranger. He was notable for his contributions in numerous films over a 30-year period including: ''The Heroes of Telemark'' (1965), ''Kelly's Heroes'' (1970), ''The Omen'' (1976), '' A Bridge too Far'' (1977), ''Superman'' (1978), ''Superman II'' (1980), '' Superman IV: The Quest for Peace'' (1987), ''Return of the Jedi'' (1983) and the Bond films '' Goldfinger'' (1964) and '' On Her Majesty's Secret Service'' (1969). He also had small acting roles in some films including two Michael Reeves films, ''The Sorcerers'' (1967) and ''Witchfinder General'' (1968). As a stuntman he specialised in high falls and fight scenes. He doubled for Sean Connery in the film ''Goldfinger'' and for Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood in ''Where Eagles Dare'' (1968). A stunt performer, often called a stuntman or stuntwoman and occasionally stuntperson or stunt-person, is a trained professional who performs daring acts, often as a career. Where Eagles Dare
''Where Eagles Dare'' is a 1968 war film directed by Brian G. Hutton and starring Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood and Mary Ure. It follows a joint British-American Special Operations Executive team of paratroopers raiding a castle (shot on location in Austria and Bavaria). It was filmed in Panavision using the Metrocolor process, and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Alistair MacLean wrote the screenplay, his first, at the same time that he wrote the novel of the same name. Both became commercial successes. The film involved some of the top filmmakers of the day and is considered a classic. ''London's Burning'' is a British television drama programme, produced by London Weekend Television for the ITV network. Eric Porter
Eric Richard Porter (8 April 192815 May 1995) was an English actor of stage, film and television. Early life Porter was born in Shepherd's Bush, London, to bus conductor Richard John Porter and Phoebe Elizabeth (née Spall). His parents hoped he would become an electrical engineer, so he was educated at the Technical College in Wimbledon, then worked for the Marconi Telegraph and Wireless company as a joint-solderer. He made his stage debut at the Cambridge Arts Theatre in 1945 at the age of 17. Career In 1955, Porter played the title role in Ben Jonson's ''Volpone'' at the Bristol Old Vic. The Reichenbach Falls (german: Reichenbachfälle) are a waterfall cascade of seven steps on the stream called Rychenbach in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland.
