Alex Young (basketball)
Alex Young (born October 17, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Sharjah of the UAE National Basketball League. He played college basketball for the IUPUI Jaguars before playing professionally in Italy, Israel, France, Russia and China. Early life and college career Young attended Northwest High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was the 2008 Indianapolis City and Indianapolis Public Schools Player of the Year. Young averaged 18.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game as a senior, ranking third in the state in rebounding, shooting 52.7 percent from the floor and 34.3 percent from three-point range in his final season. Young played college basketball for IUPUI's Jaguars, where he led the Jaguars in scoring (20.4 ppg), rebounding (5.9 rpg), blocks (32), steals (50), threes made (59) and free throws made (156). Orlandina Basket
Orlandina Basket, known as Infodrive Capo d'Orlando for sponsorship reasons, is an Italian professional basketball club that is based in Capo d'Orlando, Sicily. Veroli Basket was an Italian professional basketball team based in Veroli, Lazio. It ceased operations in February 2015 after financial problems. History After taking part in Centro Sportivo Italiano (a Christian sports association) competitions, the club was officially created as società Basket Veroli in 1968. The club was promoted to the national Serie C in 1974-75. In 2002-03 it moved up to the Serie B1, the third division, at the end of the 2006-07 season the side was promoted to the LegaDue. The club would win the 2009 LegaDue Cup, and the next two editions as well. 2013 NBA Summer League
The 2013 NBA Summer League is a pro basketball league run by the NBA just after the 2013 NBA draft. It gives newly drafted players a chance to test their skills against each other, and to give them a feel for professional basketball. All 30 NBA teams participated, along with the D-League Select. The Miami Heat were the only team to participate in both Summer Leagues. It ran from July 7–12 in Orlando and July 12–22 in Las Vegas. The Golden State Warriors are an American professional basketball team based in San Francisco. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, is an American organization of men's college basketball coaches. It was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Formation of the NABC began when Joint Basketball Rules Committee, then the central governing authority of the game, announced without notice that it had adopted a change in the rules which virtually eliminated dribbling.
