Alex Horvath (curler)
Alexander Justin Bruce Horvath (born February 26, 1998) is a Canadian curler from Victoria, British Columbia. He currently plays lead on Team Catlin Schneider. He is a former World and Canadian Junior champion. Career Horvath first curled competitively on the national level at the 2014 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. That season, Horvath played lead on the Cameron de Jong rink that won the BC Junior men's title. Representing British Columbia at the Canadian Juniors, the de Jong-led rink finished the event with a 5–5 record. Horvath joined the two-time Canadian Junior and defending World Junior champion Tyler Tardi rink in 2018, playing lead on the team. The rink began the season by winning the 2018 King Cash Spiel World Curling Tour event. Later on in the season, the team won another provincial junior title. Marco Hösli
Marco Hösli (born 15 May 2000) is a Swiss curler from Ennenda. He is a two-time World Junior silver medallist. Career Juniors Hösli skipped Team Switzerland, which also included Philipp Hösli, Marco Hefti and Jannis Spiess at the 2019 World Junior Curling Championships. There, he led Switzerland to a 6–3 round robin record. This put them into the playoffs, where they had to play the undefeated Scotland team, skipped by Ross Whyte in the semifinal. Switzerland upset the Scots, putting them into the final against Canada, skipped by Tyler Tardi. Canada beat Switzerland, forcing Hösli and his rink to settle for silver. The next season, Hösli played for Team Switzerland at the 2020 World Junior Curling Championships, starting the event as the alternate on the team, which was originally skipped by Yves Wagenseil. 2023 BC Men's Curling Championship
The 2023 BC Men's Curling Championship, the provincial men's curling championship for British Columbia, was held from January 11 to 15 at the Chilliwack Curling Club in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The event was held in conjunction with the 2023 British Columbia Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship. The winning Jacques Gauthier rink represented British Columbia at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they finished fifth in Pool B with a 3–5 record. Jacques Gauthier (curler)
Jacques Gauthier (born October 17, 1998) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He currently plays second on Team Kevin Koe. Career Gauthier played most of his junior career as third for J. T. Ryan. With Ryan, he won a silver medal at the 2019 Canadian Junior Curling Championships and a bronze medal at the 2018 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. In 2018, he got to play in his first World Junior Curling Championships as alternate for Tyler Tardi. The team won a gold medal. Ryan aged out of juniors after the 2019 championships and Gauthier formed his own team for the 2019–20 season. His rink of Jordan Peters, Brayden Payette and Zack Bilawka lost the final of the 2020 Manitoba Junior Provincials. They still got to go to the 2020 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, representing the second Manitoba team as Nunavut and Yukon did not send teams. Jim Cotter (curler)
James H. Cotter (born October 15, 1974 in Kamloops, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Vernon, British Columbia. Career Cotter grew up in Kamloops, playing both curling and baseball as a youth. As a high school student, he won three provincial high school championships (1990, 1991, 1993). He won two provincial junior crowns, in 1990 and in 1995. At the 1990 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, he skipped the B.C. team to a 6-5 round robin record. This put them in a five-way tie for third place. They would be eliminated from the playoffs however, when they lost their first tie-breaker match to Nova Scotia's Brian Fowlie. Five years later in his last year of eligibility, Cotter was back, skipping the B.C. team at the 1995 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. This time, he would finish with a better, 7-4 record, but it was only good enough for fourth place, and they missed the playoffs.
