Alex Andreev
Alex Andreev (born 1972 in Chudovo) is a Russian artist working in digital painting, using virtual and augmented reality in his artworks. Biography Alex Andreev was born in Chudovo, Novgorod region in 1972. In 1994 he graduated from the Novgorod State University, Faculty of Architecture and Design. Since 1989 he has been creating artworks in traditional graphic technics, using pen ink and a pencil In 2008 he turned to digital painting. Using Adobe Photoshop, he has been creating personal artworks as well as movie concept arts. In 2016 he provided concept arts for "The Roadside Picnic", at the same time creating artworks including augmented and virtual reality. Since 2018 he has been creating 3D digital artworks in the space of virtual reality by virtual sculpturing through the Oculus Medium. Chudovo (russian: Чýдово) is a town and the administrative center of Chudovsky District in Novgorod Oblast, Russia, located on the Kerest River (a left tributary of the Volkhov). Population: History The village of Chudovo was first mentioned in chronicles in 1539. By the mid-18th century, it developed into a big '' selo'' with a postal service station. By the beginning of the 19th century, Chudovo was the seat of Chudovskaya Volost of Novgorodsky Uyezd in Novgorod Governorate. The Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University (orig. Новгородский Государственный Университет имени Ярослава Мудрого, ''НовГУ''), also known informally as NovSU, was founded in 1993 by merging the two oldest higher education institutions of Veliky Novgorod: the Pedagogical and Polytechnic Institutes. Artmuza is a contemporary art gallery and a creative space in Saint Petersburg on Vasilievsky Island in Russia. Since 2013, it has been at the location of the former factory of musical instruments "Muzdetal".
