Aleksei Alipov
Aleksey Aleksandrovich Alipov (russian: Алексей Александрович Алипов, born 7 August 1975) is a Russian olympic Trap shooter. He is the 2004 Olympic champion in that discipline. Career Born in Moscow, he was trained at the Russian Academy of Sport. He participates for the Russian Army Sports Club, based in Moscow. He competed at the 2000 Sydney Games where he finished ninth, but he achieved his ambition on 15 August 2004 at the Athens Olympics after a flawless final round in which he was on target with all 25 shots to finish with an overall score of 149 out of 150, beating Italy's Giovanni Pellielo into the silver medal position, while Australia's Adam Vella took bronze. Fishing
Fishing is the activity of trying to catch fish. Adam Joseph Vella (born 12 June 1971) is the National Shotgun Coach of the Australian Team. A former Australian olympic clay target shooting champion. Vella was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Melbourne and is a Commonwealth Games four times gold medalist and an Olympic Games, Olympic bronze medalist. Adam Vella is the only shooter who has ever ranked #1 in the World at the same time in Trap and Double Trap. Despite being the No 1 ranked shooter in the world in 2007, Adam missed on the selection to the 2008 Olympics. His international performances were not taken into consideration as per the AISL Olympic selection criteria and the position was won by Craig Henwood after beating Adam by 1 target. Giovanni Pellielo (born 11 January 1970) is an Italian sport shooter. He won the silver medal in Men's trap at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and also earned a bronze medal in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and a silver medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and 2016 Rio Olympics. Biography Giovanni Pellielo is trained by the Olympic champion and technical commissioner of the Italian national team Albano Pera. ISSF Olympic Trap
Olympic Trap is a shooting sport discipline contested at the Olympic Games and sanctioned by the International Shooting Sport Federation. Usually referred to simply as "trap", the discipline is also known in the United States as international trap, bunker trap, trench or international clay pigeon. It is considered more difficult than most other trap versions in that the distance to the targets and the speed with which they are thrown are both greater. Until 1992, the Olympic trap event was open to both men and women. In 1996, it was open to men only, and from 2000 men and women have had separate competitions. The course of fire is 125 targets in the qualification round for both men and women since 2018.
