Aleksandra Delcheva
Aleksandra Delcheva ( bg, Александра Делчева, born April 11, 1987) is a Bulgarian volleyball and basketball player, playing as a center. Delcheva started her basketball career with the club WBC Slavia Sofia in Hungary and played there between 2009 and 2012 (68 matches, making 532 points). In her last season, 2011–12, she played at Slavia (Division A), played 24 games and had 8.5ppg and 7.3rpg. After the season she moved to the Czech Republic to play a season with DSK Basketball Karlin (25 matches, making 82 points). A year later she moved to Italy and played with Libertas Trogylos Basket in the Italian league (16 matches, making 66 points). In 13 A1 games she averaged 4.5ppg and 7.4rpg. Delcheva was selected to Italian League All-Star Game in 2014. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. WBC Slavia Sofia
WBC Slavia Sofia is a Bulgarian women's basketball section of the Slavia Sofia sport society. Men's basketball team of Slavia Sofia is not active. Slavia Sofia was an early powerhouse of Bulgarian women's basketball, winning 12 national championships between 1953 and 1965. In 1959 it won the inaugural edition of the European Cup beating Dynamo Moscow, and in 1965 it won its second title, becoming the only team to knock out Daugava Riga in the competition between 1960 and 1975. It also reached the finals in 1960 and 1965. However, since 1965 the team has not won any additional championships. Its major international success in subsequent years was reaching the Ronchetti Cup's semifinals in 1980. Gruppo Sportivo Libertas Trogylos Basket is an Italian women's basketball club from Priolo Gargallo. Founded in 1970, it reached the Serie A1 in 1986, where it played until its withdrawal in 2014. Libertas Trogylos won the 1989 national championship and the 1990 European Cup, beating CSKA Moscow in the final. It also reached the 1992 Ronchetti Cup's final, lost to AS Vicenza. The Bulgaria women's national basketball team ( bg, България отбор жени национален по баскетбол) represents Bulgaria in international women's basketball, and is controlled by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation. Their achievements range from winning the 1958 EuroBasket Women's Championship, and the Balkan Championship in 1960. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996.
