Aleksandr Melnik
Aleksandr Vladimirovich Melnik (russian: Александр Владимирович Мельник; 11 June 1958, Chervonopartyzansk – 8 September 2021) was a Russian film director. Career Melnik graduated from Odessa State Environmental University, Odessa Hydrometeorological Institute, and worked for a time as a journalist and publisher. He was a member of the Guild of Russian Filmmakers. He was the father of film producer Anton Melnik. Death Melnik died at the Kitabo-Oron waterfall (Big Irkindinsky waterfall), located in the western part of the Putorana Nature Reserve, 120 km from Norilsk, together with the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (Russia), Ministry of Emergency Situations Yevgeny Zinichev during the scouting of a filming location. Melnik slipped and fell off a cliff into the water. Zinichev died after he dove off the cliff to save Melnik, according to the ministry. ''Territory'' (russian: Территория, Territoriya) is a 2015 Russian adventure drama film written and directed by Aleksandr Melnik, a screen version of the same novel by Oleg Kuvaev. The film, like the book, is based on real events and narrates about the discovery of a grandiose gold deposit in the Far North-East of the Soviet Union. Yevgeny Nikolayevich Zinichev (russian: Евгений Николаевич Зиничев; 18 August 1966 – 8 September 2021) was a Russian politician and military officer. He served as the Minister of Emergency Situations from 2018 until his death, and was also a member of the Security Council of Russia. In 2016, he served as the acting Governor of Kaliningrad Oblast before being replaced by Anton Alikhanov. He was ranked General of the Army as of 2020. Chervonopartyzansk (, ) is a city in Sverdlovsk Municipality, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine. Population: Geography The city is located in southeastern Luhansk Oblast in the middle of the main Donets drainage divide that separates the watershed of Velyka Kamianka to the north from watersheds of Kundryucha and Burhusta rivers to the south.
