Aleksandr Kosopkin
Aleksandr Sergeyevich Kosopkin (Russian: Александр Сергеевич Косопкин; 1 June 1957 - 9 January 2009), was a Russian statesman who had served as the Plenipotentiary Representative in the State Duma. He was a candidate of psychological sciences. Biography Aleksandr Kosopkin was born on 1 June 1957. In 1976, he graduated from the Chelyabinsk Railway Technical School. From 1976 to 1978, he served in the urgent service in the Soviet Army. From 1978 to 1980, he was the driver's assistant, driver of the locomotive depot of the city of Zlatoust of the South Ural railway. In 1990, Kosopkin was elected as the People's Deputy of the RSFSR in the Zlatoust Territorial District No. 751. Between 1990 and 1993, he was the Chairman of the Subcommittee of the Commission on Social Policy of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation. The State Duma (russian: Госуда́рственная ду́ма, r=Gosudárstvennaja dúma), commonly abbreviated in Russian as Gosduma ( rus, Госду́ма), is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, while the upper house is the Federation Council of Russia, Federation Council.
