Aleksandr Drozdov
Alexander Sergeyevich Drozdov (russian: Александр Сергеевич Дроздов; born 1 November 1970, Krasnoyarsk) is a Russian political figure and a deputy of the 8th State Duma. From 1993 to 2016, Alexander Drozdov served in law enforcement. From 2016 to 2021, he served as deputy director for Government Relations and Special Projects of the aluminum division of the Rusal company. On 14 November 2017 he became a member of the United Russia. In 2018 he was elected deputy of the Krasnoyarsk City Council of Deputies. Drozdov left the post in 2021 as he was elected deputy of the 8th State Duma from the Krasnoyarsk constituency. He ran with the United Russia. Alexander Drozdov is married and has three children. The State Duma (russian: Госуда́рственная ду́ма, r=Gosudárstvennaja dúma), commonly abbreviated in Russian as Gosduma ( rus, Госду́ма), is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, while the upper house is the Federation Council of Russia, Federation Council. The State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the 8th convocation (russian: Государственная Дума Федерального Собрания Российской Федерации восьмого созыва) is the current convocation of the lower house of Russian parliament. The composition of the 8th State Duma was determined based on the results of the 2021 legislative election. Elections were held using a mixed system: 225 deputies were elected on party lists and 225 — in single-member constituencies. Of the 14 parties that participated in the elections, only 5 were able to overcome the 5% barrier. And for the first time since 1999, more than four parties were able to form their own factions.
