Alejandro Contreras (Salvadoran Footballer)
Alejandro Andrés Contreras Daza (born 3 March 1993 in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a defender for Primera B de Chile club Deportes Temuco. Club career Contreras began his career playing for the Palestino youth team and was part of the squad that won the 2012 U-20 national championship. He made his debut in the Chilean Primera División on 31 March 2013 scoring against Deportes Antofagasta. International career Contreras was selected to play for the Chile national under-20 football team in the 2013 South American Youth Championship by team manager Mario Salas. Club Universidad de Chile () is a professional football club based in Santiago, Chile, that plays in the Primera División. Founded on 24 May 1927, Universidad de Chile is one of the most successful and popular football clubs in Chile, having won the league title 18 times. 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup
The 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the nineteenth edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It ran from 21 June to 13 July 2013. At the FIFA Executive Meeting in Zürich on 3 March 2011, Turkey beat other bids to host the series games, from host competition by the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. In its bid, Turkey suggested the use of thirteen stadiums in ten of its cities, before deciding in February 2012, that seven cities would play host to games. This tournament marked the first time in its history that neither Argentina nor Brazil (the most successful teams in the competition) qualified. Mario Salas Saieg
Mario Alfredo Salas Saieg (, born 11 October 1967) is a former Chilean football midfielder and current manager. He earned five caps for the Chile national team, scoring no goals between 1993 and 1997. Salas made his debut in 1993 in a friendly match against Spain in Alicante. He started his managerial career at Barnechea in 2009. In 2011, he won the Tercera División de Chile title and the promotion to Primera B. In 2012, he was appointed as head coach of the Chile U20 national team after the resignation of Fernando Carvallo. He completed his BA in Physical education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso. Deportes Antofagasta is a Chilean football club based in the city of Antofagasta currently playing in the Campeonato Nacional. The club's home stadium is the Estadio Bicentenario Calvo y Bascuñán, which has a capacity of 21,178. History The club was founded on May 14, 1966, when the amateur clubs ''Unión Bellavista'' and ''Portuario Atacama'' merged. The team's original name was ''Club de Deportes Antofagasta Portuario''.
