Aldo Conti
Aldo Conti (1890 – 1988) was an Italian painter. Biography He was born in Milan. He studied between 1911 and 1914 both in Milan and in Paris, where he attended the course in architecture at the School of Fine Arts. Having returned to Italy, he devoted his energies to landscapes and urban views. Though influenced by the Novecento Italiano movement in the years after World War I, he did not participate in its group exhibitions. He began showing works in the national events held by the Milan Società per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente in the 1930s and took part in the Rome Quadrenniale (Quadriennale Nazionale d’Arte di Roma, 1931 and 1943) and the Venice Biennale (Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte di Venezia, 1936, 1940 and 1942). He was awarded the Sallustio Fornara Prize at the Mostra Sociale Autunnale della Società per le Belle Arti in 1938 and his painting ''The Lombard Countryside'' was purchased for the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Milan as a result. Novecento Italiano () was an Italian artistic movement founded in Milan in 1922 to create an art based on the rhetoric of the fascism of Benito Mussolini, Mussolini. History Novecento Italiano was founded by Anselmo Bucci (1887–1955), Leonardo Dudreville (1885–1975), Achille Funi, Gian Emilio Malerba (1880–1926), Piero Marussig, Pietro Marussig, Ubaldo Oppi, and Mario Sironi. Motivated by a post-war "Return to order, call to order", they were brought together by Lino Pesaro, a gallery owner interested in modern art, and Margherita Sarfatti, a writer and art critic who worked on Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, Benito Mussolini's newspaper, ''Il Popolo d'Italia, The People of Italy'' (''Il Popolo d'Italia''). World War I

Fondazione Cariplo is a charitable foundation in Milan, Italy. It was created in December 1991 when the Amato law, Law no. 218 of 30 July 1990, came into force. Under this law, saving banks were required to separate into a not-for-profit foundation and a commercial banking arm. The Cassa di Risparmio delle Provincie Lombarde, commonly known as Cariplo, was divided into the Fondazione Cariplo and Cariplo SpA, the bank, which merged with Ambroveneto in 1998.
