Alborada (film)
''Alborada'' ( si, ඇල්බොරාදා) is a 2021 Sri Lankan multilingual biographical romantic film directed by Asoka Handagama and produced by H.D. Premasiri for Sarasavi Cineroo. The film is based on the fictionalized sex life of Chile's Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda from 1929 to 1931 in Sri Lanka. It stars Luis J. Romero and Anne Solen Hatte in lead role whereas Dominic Keller, Malcolm Machado and Rithika Kodithuwakku made supportive roles. The Sinhala meaning of 'Alborada' is "the dawning of the day". Asoka Handagama
Asoka Handagama (born December 1962) is a Sri Lankan filmmaker. He obtained his primary and secondary schooling in a provincial school and went on to study Mathematics at the University of Kelaniya where he was awarded a first class honours degree. He obtained his MSc in Development Economics at Warwick University in 1995. He is also an Assistant Governor of the Sri Lankan Central Bank. Theatre Asoka Handagama's entry to filmmaking was via the theatre and television. His maiden theatrical effort, ''Bhoomika (film)'', was to address the seedling emerging ethnic crisis in the Island. The play won the National Youth award for best direction in 1985. His second stage play ''Thunder'', was placed second runner up in the Best script in 1987 State drama Festival. The country was a real killing field when he directed his third, and most controversial play, ''Magatha''. Pablo Neruda
Ricardo Eliécer Neftalí Reyes Basoalto (12 July 1904 – 23 September 1973), better known by his pen name and, later, legal name Pablo Neruda (; ), was a Chilean poet-diplomat and politician who won the 1971 Nobel Prize in Literature. Thusitha Laknath Galindawattha (born September 7, 1983), is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. He played Rane in the television serial '' Deveni Inima''. Early life Thusitha Laknath was born on 7 September 1983 in Sri Lanka. He completed education from Koswatta Jayawardena Vidyalaya and Ananda College, Colombo. Tissa Abeysekera
Deshanabu Tissa Ananda Abeysekara (7 May 1939 – 18 April 2009 as තිස්ස අබේසේකර) was a Sri Lankan filmmaker, actor, writer, director, screen playwright and political activist. He is better known as a script writer for the cinema as well as a film director. In 1996, his book ''Bringing Tony Home'' won the prestigious Gratiaen Prize for the new creative writing in English.
