Alberto Chicote
Alberto Chicote del Olmo (born 23 June 1969 in Madrid), is a cook, chef, restaurateur and famous Spanish TV host known for mixing traditional cuisine with new technologies and to be the pioneer of what is known as cocina fusión, fusion cuisine in Spain; it consists of applying techniques and foreign products, mainly Asian, to the Spanish cuisine. He makes frequent appearances at conferences in gastronomy (some as Madrid Fusion), as well as presentations, demonstrations and master classes around the world. As a TV host he has a great success with the Spanish adaptation of the show ''Kitchen Nightmares'' titled ''Pesadilla en la cocina'' and Top Chef (Spanish TV series), ''Top Chef'' produced by Boomerang TV to Antena 3 (Spain), Antena 3. La Sexta
La Sexta (; "The Sixth"; stylized as laSexta) is a Spanish free-to-air television channel. It is privately owned and was originally founded on 18 March 2001 as Beca TV that began broadcasting on 1 April 2001, that same year. By 21 July 2003, the channel ran into liquidation and was closed down, but two years later in 2005, it was replaced by a new channel called La Sexta that began test transmissions on 25 November 2005, and a year later, it started broadcasting officially on 27 March 2006. The channel's programming is generalist, however, there is an emphasis on humour and entertainment. A restaurateur is a person who opens and runs restaurants professionally. Although over time the term has come to describe any person who owns a restaurant, traditionally it refers to a highly skilled professional who is proficient in all aspects of the restaurant business. ''El Mundo'' (; ), before ''El Mundo del Siglo Veintiuno'', is the second largest printed daily newspaper in Spain. The paper is considered one of the country's newspapers of record along with '' El País and ABC.'' History and profile ''El Mundo'' was first published on 23 October 1989. Perhaps the best known of its founders was Pedro J. Ramírez, who served as editor until 2014. Ramirez had risen to prominence as a journalist during the Spanish transition to democracy.
