Albert Cuffe
Air Marshal Albert Abraham Lawson Cuffe (2 May 1895 – 24 March 1969) was a Canadian air force officer who was briefly Director of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Career Cuffe enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in 1914 and, having joined the Royal Flying Corps, served in World War I. After the War he became an instructor at Camp Borden. He was responsible for forming No. 2 (Operations) Squadron at High River, Alberta on 1 April 1925. He served briefly as Director of the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1932 before, having been promoted to wing commander, he became Commanding Officer of No.4 Squadron at Vancouver around 1935. High River is a town within the Calgary Metropolitan Region of Alberta, Canada. It is approximately south of Calgary, at the junction of Alberta Highways 2 and 23. Air Vice-Marshal James Lindsay Gordon DFC (11 December 1892 – 3 March 1940) was a leading figure in the pre-World War II Royal Canadian Air Force and a pilot in the Royal Naval Air Service during World War I. Career James Lindsay Gordon was born on 11 December 1892 in Montreal, Quebec the son of Edward Percy Gordon and his wife Helen Lindsay. Canadian Forces Base Borden (also CFB Borden, French: Base des Forces canadiennes Borden or BFC Borden), formerly RCAF Station Borden, is a large Canadian Forces base located in Ontario.
