Albert Cohen (producer)
Albert Cohen is a French producer of film and television and of French musicals and a radio personality. Radio Nostalgie He is a co-founder in 1981 of Radio Nostalgie, and its Lyons affiliate director who engaged in 1984 in launching it as a national radio station in France. By 1986, Radio Nostalgie had already 180 local stations and an international chain of related radio stations. Musical productions Starting 1990, Albert Cohen also pursued a musical production career in film, television and documentaries. In 1998, he was involved in a major musical '' Les Dix Commandements'', co-produced with Dove Attia. Nostalgie
Nostalgie is a popular French radio station broadcasting on FM, mostly playing pre-2000s songs with 76% of them coming from the 1980s. Nostalgie is part of the NRJ Group. History Radio Nostalgie, now simply Nostalgie, was created on 16 September 1983. Since 1985 Radio Nostalgie was developing a network in France and in 1986 the station was also broadcasting in Paris. Also at this time, Radio Nostalgie was already developing abroad in countries such as Belgium, Lebanon, Portugal and Russia (Moscow). ''Les Dix Commandements'' is a French-language musical comedy written by Élie Chouraqui and Pascal Obispo that premiered in Paris in October 2000. In 2022, the musical is announced to premiere in the English language with an American adaptation by David Serero (starring as Moses) in New York. Jules Dove Attia (Arabic: جول دوف عطية) better known as Dove Attia (born in Tunisia on 8 June 1957) is a musical producer television personality. Beginnings Dove Attia is a French citizen born to a Tunisian father who was an electrician and a French mother. At 15 he studied guitar and tried his hand at composition and singing, particularly rock music. Dreaming of a music career, he formed his own school band with some of his schoolmates. ''Autant en emporte le vent'' is a French musical adaptation of the 1936 Margaret Mitchell novel ''Gone with the Wind'' produced by Dove Attia and Albert Cohen in 2003, with music and lyrics by Gérard Presgurvic and staging and choreography by Kamel Ouali. The debut performance was at Palais des Sports de Paris on 30 September 2003. After three months daily performances in Paris, the show moved to tour other major cities in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. The final show was in Nîmes arena on 11 July 2004. ''Le Roi Soleil'' is a French musical about the life of Louis XIV (played by Emmanuel Moire). It premiered on 22 September 2005 at the Palais des Sports in Paris. Plot The play begins with the Fronde against Cardinal Mazarin. Young Louis is the consecrated King at Reims. But his power has been confiscated by his mother, Anne of Austria, and the Cardinal, who doubt his ability to rule France alone. Louis falls in love with Marie Mancini, an Italian emigrant without noble birth, niece of Cardinal Mazarin. To prove himself as a man, the young monarch decides to leave for the war at the head of his armies, and though Marie has a worrying premonition she is unable to stop him. Louis falls in battle, victim to a serious disease, and for a long time is believed dead. The court forgets him and attempts to name his brother Philippe the new King of France. ''Mozart, l'opéra rock'' ("Mozart, the rock opera") is a French musical with music by Dove Attia, Jean-Pierre Pilot, Olivier Schultheis, William Rousseau, Nicolas Luciani, Rodrigue Janois and François Castello, lyrics by Vincent Baguian and Patrice Guirao and a book by Attia and François Chouquet.
