The Albanians Decisively ( sq, Shqiptarët të vendosur; cnr, Albanci odlučno, ''Албанци одлучнo'') was a socially conservative Albanian minority politics political alliance in Montenegro. History The alliance was formed by three major Albanian parties in Montenegro, the Albanian Alternative (AA), the New Democratic Power - FORCA and the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA), prior to the 2016 elections. New Democratic Force (Montenegro)
New Democratic Force ( cnr, Nova demokratska snaga, sq, Forca e Re Demokratike) is a political party of the Albanian minority in Montenegro. The party was founded on 22 October 2005 as a local minority party representing the Albanian population in Ulcinj. Nazif Cungu was elected as its president at the founding assembly. In April 2008, FORCA opened a branch of its party in Tuzi. On the 4-th Congress of the party held on October 30th, 2021, Genci Nimanbegu was elected as the new leader of the party. Electoral performance On last parliamentary elections, on 29 March 2009, Forca has one seat, becoming for the first time a parliamentary party. In the run-up to the 2008 presidential election, it supported the opposition candidate, Nebojša Medojević. In the Municipal Parliament of Ulcinj, FORCA has 11 out of 33 seats. Albanian Alternative
Albanian Alternative ( cnr, italic=yes, Albanska alternativa, sq, italic=yes, Alternativa Shqiptare) is a political party representing the Albanian minority in Montenegro. The party is led by Nik Gjeloshaj. At the legislative elections in Montenegro, in October 2012, AA won 1 out of 81 seats. Between 2009 and 2016, the party was a constituent member of the Albanian Coalition. History In September 2016, the Albanian Alternative agreed to form a pre-election alliance with New Democratic Power – FORCA and Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA) for 2016 elections. Tuzi
Tuzi ( cnr, Tuzi/Тузи, ; sq, Tuz or ''Tuzi'') is a small town in Montenegro and the seat of Tuzi Municipality, Montenegro. It is located along a main road between the city of Podgorica and the Albanian border crossing, just a few kilometers north of Lake Skadar. The Church of St. Anthony and Qazimbeg's Mosque are located in the centre of the town. Tuzi is the newest municipality in Montenegro, having been an independent municipality since 1 September 2018. Nazif Cungu
Nazif Cungu (, born 13 May 1958) is a Montenegrin Albanian politician, the leader of the biggest Albanian political party in Montenegro FORCA. Personal history Nazif Cungu was born in Ulcinj, Ulcinj Municipality, southern Montenegro, near the border with Albania to an Albanian family on 13 May 1958. He finished the secondary school and gymnasium in his hometown. He studied tourism management in Economic Faculty of Dubrovnik, graduating in 1980. From 1983 until 1987 he worked at the Municipality of Ulcinj in the post of secretary for economy, finance and budget. From 1987 to 1991 he had the post of a Chief Commercial of Tourist Organization "Ulcinj Riviera". From 1993 to 1997 he directed the marketing sector of "Primus" company. 2016 Montenegrin Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Montenegro on 16 October 2016. The ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) remained the largest party, winning 36 of the 81 seats, and subsequently formed a coalition government with the new Social Democrats and national minority parties. The elections were held in the midst of an alleged coup d'état attempt. Background Protests against incumbent Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic occurred in the preceding year over issues ranging from NATO membership to electoral fraud. A split in the ruling coalition followed in January 2016, leaving the government functioning as a de facto minority government. The provisional government of electoral trust was elected on May 12, 2016, by the parliament of Montenegro. The provisional governing coalition was formed by DPS and several opposition parties.
