Alba Adriatica
Alba Adriatica is a town and ''comune'' with 12,386 residents (2014) in the province of Teramo in the Abruzzo region of central eastern Italy. It is known as one of the "seven sisters" of the northern Abruzzo coast, i.e. the seven coastal towns in the province of Teramo, the other six being (from north to south) Martinsicuro, Tortoreto, Giulianova, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Silvi Marina and Pineto. It is also nicknamed ''Spiaggia d'argento'' (Silver Beach) because of the high quality standard of its beach, which earned the town the European Blue Flag in years from 2000 to 2013. The ''comune'' of Alba Adriatica was created in 1956 by splitting it off from Tortoreto. Giulianova
Giulianova ( Giuliese: ' ) is a coastal town and ''comune'' in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo region, Italy. The ''comune'' also has city ( it, città) status, thus also known as Città di Giulianova. Geography The town lies in the north of the Abruzzo region, between the Salinello and the Tordino rivers. Aldo Zilli (born 26 Jаnuary 1956) is a celebrity chef specialising in Italian cuisine, based since 1976 in the United Kingdom. One of nine children, he was born in the small seaside town of Alba Adriatica in the central Italian region of Abruzzo, and moved to England at the age of 20. Silvi is an Italian comune in the province of Teramo, about north of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It stretches from Silvi Marina, a small seaside resort on the Adriatic Coast, to Silvi Paese up in the hills. History Silvi is closely tied to Atri's history, being only a short distance away. Roseto degli Abruzzi (), more commonly Roseto, is a town and ''comune'' of the province of Teramo in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. Tortoreto
Tortoreto ( Teramano: ') is a coastal town and ''comune'' of the province of Teramo in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It has two distinct parts. The old town is on a hill not far from the Adriatic Sea. The new part, usually referred to as Tortoreto Lido, is seaside and located next to SS 16. Tortoreto can be reached by direct rail service or by flying to the Pescara airport and then travelling north. The ''comune'' of Alba Adriatica was created in 1956 by splitting it off from Tortoreto.
