Dennis Alas
Dennis Jonathan Alas Morales (born 10 January 1985 in San Salvador) is a Salvadoran former association football player. He was banned for life in 2013, for match fixing while playing for the El Salvador national football team. He is the older brother of El Salvador national team member Jaime Alas. Club career Nicknamed ''Pitbull'', Alas came through the youth ranks at Academia La Chelona and joined San Salvador F.C. in 2001. After sparking interest with his Gold Cup performance, Alas trained with MLS club CD Chivas USA in contemplation of a potential move there. Nothing came of this and he return to El Salvador. On December 27, 2007, it was announced that Dennis Alas had signed a one-year contract with USL-2 side Real Maryland F.C. Jaime Enrique Alas Morales (born 30 July 1989) is a Salvadoran professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga Nacional club Municipal and the El Salvador national team. Club career Alas' professional career began in July 2006, at the age of 16, when he signed a contract with the now defunct Salvadoran club San Salvador. Shortly after, he moved to Argentina to play in the reserves of River Plate. He spent four years at the club before returning in 2010 to El Salvador to join Luis Ángel Firpo. On 29 June 2012, Alas signed a contract with Rosenborg until the end of the 2015-season. He joined the club when the Norwegian transfer window opened on 1 August 2012. José Inocencio "Chencho" Alas (born 1934 in Chalatenango, El Salvador), one of ten children. He was a Catholic priest for many years, a friend to Archbishop Óscar Romero, and an advocate of peasant rights. Kevin Louie Platon Alas (born November 13, 1991) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted second overall by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the 2014 PBA draft. Early life and amateur career Alas attended Grade School at Blessed Trinity School in Las Piñas and began playing organized basketball when he was in the 5th grade. Leopoldo Enrique García-Alas y Ureña (25 April 1852 – 13 June 1901), also known as Clarín, was a Spanish realist novelist born in Zamora. His inflammatory articles, known as ''paliques'' (“chitchat”), as well as his advocacy of liberalism and anti-clericalism, made him a formidable and controversial critical voice. He died in Oviedo. Biography Alas was born in Zamora, from Asturian parents who moved to that city. He spent his childhood living in León and Guadalajara, until he moved to Oviedo (Asturias) in 1863. There he studied for the ''Bachillerato'' (Secondary Education) and began his law studies. He is the former head coach of the Letran Knights in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and Philippine Patriots in the ASEAN Basketball League. Sibel Alaş (born 13 February 1975) is a Turkish pop music singer and translator. She graduated from American Culture and Literature Department in Istanbul University.
