Alar Kaljuvee
Alar Kaljuvee (born 9 April 1961) is an Estonian volleyball coach and sport pedagogue. He was born in Misso, Võru County. In 1983 he graduated from University of Tartu The University of Tartu (UT; et, Tartu Ülikool; la, Universitas Tartuensis) is a university in the city of Tartu in Estonia. It is the national university of Estonia. It is the only classical university in the country, and also its biggest ...'s Institute of Physical Education. 1973–1983 he practiced volleyball, coached by Taavo Veski ja Henno Linn. Since 1983 he has worked as a volleyball coach. He has been the head coach of volleyball club Tartu Pro Sport (Estonian champion in 1996). In 2000s he was the head coach of Tartu Pere Leib (won medals in Estonian championships). In 1996, the Estonian Volleyball Federation named him Best Women's Coach of the Year, and 2002–2004 Best Men's Coach of the Year. Võru County
Võru County ( et, Võru maakond or ''Võrumaa''; vro, Võro maakund) is a county in southern Estonia. It is bordered by Valga County and Põlva County and is the only Estonian county bordering two countries - Latvia (Alūksne Municipality and Ape Municipality) in the south and Russian Federation (Pskov Oblast) in the east. BIGBANK Tartu is an Estonian professional volleyball club based in Tartu, Estonia, that competes in the Baltic Men Volleyball League. Founded in 1999, the team has won 4 Baltic League championships, 5 Estonian League championships and 4 Estonian Cups. The team plays its home games at University of Tartu Sports Hall. History The team was founded 1999 as Pere Leib Tartu. Before that Tartu volleyball was represented by Ösel Foods Tartu, who had won the Estonian League in 1998 and 1999.
