Alan Silverstri
Alan Anthony Silvestri (born March 26, 1950) is an American composer and Conducting, conductor of film and television scores. He has been associated with director Robert Zemeckis since 1984, composing music for all of his feature films including the Back to the Future (franchise), ''Back to the Future'' film series, ''Who Framed Roger Rabbit'', ''Forrest Gump'', ''Cast Away'' and ''The Polar Express (film), The Polar Express''. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. Many composers are, or were, also skilled performers of music. Etymology and Definition The term is descended from Latin, ''compōnō''; literally "one who puts together".
