Alan Jeffrey Goodall (born 2 December 1981) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. During his career, he has played. for clubs including Bangor City, Rochdale, Luton Town, Chesterfield, Newport County, Stockport County, Grimsby Town and Aberystwyth Town Career Born in Birkenhead, Merseyside, Goodall started by playing for Poulton Victoria in Wallasey and then joined League of Wales club Bangor City in the summer of 2001. In his first season at the Farrar Road club, he played in the Welsh Cup final picking up a runners-up medal in the defeat against Barry Town at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth. He was part of the team that lost narrowly in the 2002–03 UEFA Cup against FK Sartid and 2003–04 UEFA Intertoto Cup losing to Gloria Bistriţa. Aberystwyth Town F
Aberystwyth () is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, means "the mouth of the Ystwyth". The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from la, Inter, 'between' + german: toto, 'betting pool'),Most precisely, from (football pool); cf. often abbreviated and more known in the German-speaking world as UI Cup and originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point.
