Alan Steven Franco Palma (born 21 August 1998) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Atlético Mineiro and the Ecuador national team. Club career Independiente del Valle Franco came through the youth setup at Independiente del Valle and made his professional debut as an 18-year-old in 2016. He was a first team regular by 2018 and was one of the standout performers of Independiente del Valle’s winning campaign in the 2019 Copa Sudamericana, in which he and defender Luis Segovia were the only players to start every game. The Guatemala national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Guatemala) represents Guatemala in men's international football and is controlled by the ''Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala''. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as the Copa Libertadores de América ( pt, Copa Libertadores da América), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the ''Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Latin American wars of independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''America's Liberators Cup''". Campeonato Mineiro is the state football league of the state of Minas Gerais and is controlled by the Minas Gerais Football Federation FMF (Federação Mineira de Futebol). The history of Campeonato Mineiro can be divided into two parts: before and after the construction of the Mineirão, in September 1966. The Mineirão is the biggest football stadium of Minas Gerais and it is located in Minas Gerais' state capital, Belo Horizonte. The 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (officially the Brasileirão Assaí 2020 for sponsorship reasons) was the 64th season of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top level of professional football in Brazil, and the 17th edition in a double round-robin since its establishment in 2003.
