Alain Levy is an entertainment industry executive. He was born in Metz, France, on 19 December 1946. Biography He graduated from the Ecole des Mines with a Bachelor of Science in engineering in 1970. He received his MBA from Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1972. Early career CBS 1972-1984 Levy joined CBS Records International in 1972, and stayed until 1984. He began his career as the chief of staff in the office of CBS Records International president Walter Yetnikoff, before moving to Paris as head of manufacturing and logistics. In 1976 he was appointed vice president of marketing in Europe and later also put in charge of management of CBS Italy. In 1979 he was promoted to CEO of CBS France.
