Alain Bergala (; born 8 August 1943), is a French film critic, essayist, screenwriter and director. Biography Former writer for ''Cahiers du cinéma'', he is best known as a specialist in the works of Jean-Luc Godard. He taught at the University of Paris III: Sorbonne NouvelleHis page at the site of the University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvellebr> and at La Fémis. In 2000, he became the cinema counsellor of Jack Lang with whom he worked regarding the arts in education. He directed his first feature film in 1982. Brignoles
Brignoles (; oc, Brinhòla) is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southeastern France. Alongside Draguignan, it is one of two subprefectures in Var. ''Un siècle d'écrivains'' ("a century of writers") was a French series of television documentary films aired on France 3 between 1995 and 2001. A total of 257 documentaries were made, each focusing on a writer active during the 20th century. The series was initiated by France 3's program director Jean-Pierre Cottet in the spring of 1994. Each episode was independently produced by different production companies and directors, restricted to a running time of 52 minutes. Jack Lang (French Politician)
Jack Mathieu Émile Lang (; born 2 September 1939) is a French politician. A member of the Socialist Party, he served as Minister of Culture from 1981 to 1986 and again from 1988 to 1993, as well as Minister of National Education from 1992 to 1993 and 2000 to 2002. He was also Mayor of Blois from 1989 until his resignation in 2000. Lang is best known for originating the Fête de la Musique in 1982 as Culture Minister, an all day public music festival which occurs yearly on 21 June in France and throughout the world.
