Al Shaqab station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line. Al Rayyan
Al Rayyan (; also spelled as ''Ar Rayyan'') is the third-largest municipality in the state of Qatar. Its primary settlement is the city of the same name, which occupies the entire eastern section and largely surrounds Metropolitan Doha and functions as a suburb. Al Rayyan (city)
Al-Rayyan ( ar, الريان) is a city in the municipality of its namesake, Al Rayyan, Qatar. The city and its suburbs comprise the largest population center in Qatar outside of Doha proper, immediately to its east. Consisting of all of the districts in the municipality's easternmost section, its western boundary is roughly where the Al Majd Highway runs through the municipality. Al Shagub ( ar, الشقب, Ash Shaqb; also spelled Al Shaqab) is a district of Al Rayyan City in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Rayyan. As the district houses the universities in Qatar Foundation's educational project Education City, the district itself is sometimes referred to as Education City. Qatar Foundation has played a major role in developing the district. History J.G. Lorimer's ''Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf'' gives an account of Al Shagub in 1908. Education City
Education City is a development in Al Rayyan, Qatar. Developed by the Qatar Foundation, the property houses various educational facilities, including satellite campuses of eight international universities. Al Luqta ( ar, اللقطة) is a district of Al Rayyan City in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Rayyan. Etymology The district's name originates from the Arabic word "luqeet", which is the term designated for an abandoned infant whose parents have not been identified. At the time of its naming, the district was situated in an isolated and largely unknown area, thus, its name is figurative for its geographic location. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons.
