Al Muntazah is a neighbourhood complex in the Jebel Ali Village district of southern Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Al Muntazah is close to the Ibn Battuta Mall to the north. Immediately to the south is the Churches Complex, including churches and temples such as the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Christ Church Jebel Ali Anglican Church. The nearest Dubai Metro station is the Energy metro station on the Red Line to the west. To the north is the Jebel Ali Recreation Club. Jebel Ali Village (JAV) is a neighbourhood in Jebel Ali, southern Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Now it is a redevelopment by Nakheel Properties of the existing Jebel Ali Village. History The original Jebel Ali Village was constructed in 1977 to provide accommodation to construction contractors' staff. At this time, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum planned to develop Jebel Ali into an industrial area with its own airport, port, and township. The remoteness from central Dubai meant that Jebel Ali Village had to be self-sufficient, making residents develop a strong attachment to the area, even after they had left. The Ibn Battuta Mall is a large shopping mall on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, UAE, close to Interchange 6 for Jebel Ali Village. The Dubai Metro is a rapid transit rail network in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently operated by the French company Keolis. The Red Line and Green Line are operational, with a major 15 km (9.3 mi) extension to the Red Line known as Route 2020 to the Expo 2020 site announced in April 2015 and opened in 2021. The Red Line is one of the two lines on the Dubai Metro network in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Red Line runs from Rashidiya in the east to Jebel Ali in the west and travels parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road for most of its length.
