Al Lavan
Alton Lavan (September 13, 1946 – April 23, 2018) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Delaware State University from 2004 to 2010. Lavan was also as the interim head football coach at Eastern Michigan University for the final three games of the 2003 season, after replacing Jeff Woodruff. He played college football at Colorado State University and professionally with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. Drew Hill
Andrew Hill (October 5, 1956 – March 19, 2011) was an American professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 12th round of the 1979 NFL Draft. A , 170 lb receiver from Georgia Tech, Hill played in 14 NFL seasons from 1979 to 1982 and from 1984 to 1993. As a member of the Houston Oilers, he set the team's record for most career pass receptions. He teamed with Ernest Givins, Curtis Duncan, Haywood Jeffires and Warren Moon in the Oilers' Run & Shoot offense. Eddie Lee Ivery
Eddie Lee Ivery (born July 30, 1957) is a former professional American football player. Early years through college Ivery was born in McDuffie County, Georgia. He played high school football at Thomson High School in Thomson, Georgia. During the 1974 season he rushed for 1,710 yards. He played college football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team (1975–1978), and was an AP and UPI All-American in his senior season of 1978. Ivery was inducted into the Georgia Tech Athletic Hall of Fame in 1983. Herschel Walker
Herschel Junior Walker (born March 3, 1962) is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons. He was also the Republican nominee in the 2022 United States Senate election in Georgia. Walker played college football at the University of Georgia, where he won the Heisman Trophy as a junior. He spent the first three seasons of his professional career with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL) and was the league's MVP during its final season in 1985. After the USFL folded, Walker joined the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, earning consecutive Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors from 1987 to 1988. Tony Dorsett
Anthony Drew Dorsett Sr. (born April 7, 1954) is a former American football running back who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. From Western Pennsylvania, Dorsett attended the nearby University of Pittsburgh, where he led the Panthers to the national title as a senior in 1976 and won the Heisman Trophy. He was the first-round draft choice of the Cowboys in 1977, the second overall selection (from Seattle). Dorsett was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and played for the team for 11 seasons, through 1987. He played for Denver the following year, then retired because of injuries.
