Al Gross (broadcaster)
Al Gross is an American broadcaster and host of ''National Countdown Show''. He is president of Signature Media Group, Inc, which syndicates the show. He is also a voice actor and radio broadcast consultant. Gross was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Ventura, California. He studied pastoral theology at Liberty University (then Lynchburg Baptist College) in 1973–74. As a broadcaster, he worked mostly in Southern California in radio including KWIZ AM & FM in Santa Ana and KEZY in Anaheim, and was the first radio station manager for Calvary Chapel's KWVE-FM San Clemente. In 1987, he went to Focus on the Family where he was one of the original writers and contributors for Family News in Focus. At KBRT-AM 740 (Los Angeles) he was co-host of ''Mornings with Tim and Al'' with Tim Berends. Tom Bradley (American Politician)
Thomas Bradley (December 29, 1917September 29, 1998) was an American politician and police officer who served as the 38th Mayor of Los Angeles from 1973 to 1993. He was the first black mayor of Los Angeles, and his 20 years in office mark the longest tenure by any mayor in the city's history. His election as mayor in 1973 made him the second black mayor of a major U.S. city. Bradley retired in 1993, after his approval ratings began dropping subsequent to the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. Bradley, a Democrat, also ran for Governor of California in 1982 and 1986 but was defeated both times by Republican candidate George Deukmejian. KBRT (740 AM, known on-air as KBRITE) is a Southern Californian Christian radio station. It airs Christian talk radio programming from Costa Mesa, California to Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Diego, and Santa Barbara. The station broadcast at 10,000 watts sunrise to sunset at 740 kHz.
