Al-Saydiya
Al-Saydiya ( ar, السيدية) is a neighborhood in the Al Rashid district of southwestern Baghdad, Iraq. Baiyaa is to the north and Dora to the east. Al Rashid, Baghdad
Al Rasheed or Al Rashid ( ar, اَلرَّشِيْد) is one of the nine administrative districts in Baghdad, Iraq. It is in southern Baghdad, on the western side of the Tigris River. Mansour district is to the north of the western half of the district, on the other side of the Baghdad Airport Road. Baiyaa
Al - Bayaa’ (Arabic: البياع) is a lower-middle-class neighborhood in the Al Rashid, Baghdad, Al Rashid district in western Baghdad, Iraq, along the Baghdad Airport Road. Hayy Al-A'amel, Al-A'amel is to the west and Al-Saydiya to the south. First known as Al-Bayaa City, it was named after and built by (Haj) Ali Al-Bayaa. Al-Sadiyah
Sadiyah ( ar, السعدية, Al-Sadiyah; ku, Sedîye ,سەعدیە) is a town in Diyala Governorate, Iraq. It is located near the Diyala River 8 km (5 mi) south of Jalawla. The town is populated by Arabs, Kurds and Turkmens. It is disputed and experienced significant Arabization during the Saddam era. Sadiyah is controlled by Badr Organization. History Sadiyah has been the center town of Sadiyah Sub-District since the Ottoman era. Sadiyah was used as winter pasture by the Kurdish Kalhor and Sanjâbi tribes who would pay pasturage dues to the Ottomans. As part of the revolt of 1920, Sadiyah fell on 14 August 1920 largely due to the work of the Kurdish Dilo tribe. Kurds constituted 50% of the town in the 1947 census and 40.5% in 1957. Arabs constituted 47.1% of the population in 1957, while Iraqi Turkmens were 12.4%. In the 1965 census, Arabs were the majority with 58.4% while Kurds constituted 24.7% and Turkmens were 9.6%. Dora, Baghdad
Dora (also al-Dura, or ad-Durah, ar, الدورة) is a neighborhood in Al Rashid administrative district, southern Baghdad, Iraq. Before the 2003 invasion of Iraq, it was home to the city's largest concentration of Christian Assyrians, as well as Mandaeans and Muslim families. History The area was largely uninhabited until the 1950s when Assyrians from Habbaniya started settling down in Baghdad. Most houses and churches were built during the 1960s and 1970s while the booming neighbourhood attracted more middle-class families. Baghdad Airport Road
The Baghdad Airport Road is a 12-kilometre (7.5 mi) stretch of highway in Baghdad, Iraq linking the Green Zone, a heavily fortified area at the centre of Baghdad, to Baghdad International Airport (BIAP). It also links different parts of Baghdad to the Airport and connects neighbouring areas to each other. It became prominent after the 2003 invasion of Iraq following its capture by the Coalition Forces.
