Al-Ramadi SC
Al Ramadi Sport Club ( ar, نادي الرمادي), is an Iraqi football club based in Ramadi, in Anbar province, that plays in Iraq Division one. History Al-Ramadi Club played in the Iraqi Premier League. In the 1995–96 season they won the Al-Nasr wal-Salam Cup, beating Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 1–0 with a goal by Zuhair Abdul-Ridha, beating Al-Shorta 5–4 on penalties and then beating Al-Naft 3–0 in the final. Al Ramadi Sired many players who represented Iraq team since its inception, but because of financial matters and matters of Anbar after 2003 led to the deterioration of the possibilities of the club. Al-Shorta Sports Club ( ar, نادي الشرطة الرياضي, lit=''Police Sports Club'') is an Iraqi sports club based in Al-Rusafa, Baghdad. It has teams in 17 different sports, more than any other Iraqi club, and the best known section of the club is the football team, whose origins date back to 1932. In 1974, following the Iraq Football Association's decision to implement a clubs-only policy for domestic competitions, Al-Shorta were established as a sports club. 2021–22 Iraq FA Cup
The 2021–22 Iraq FA Cup is the 33rd edition of the Iraqi knockout football cup competition, the main domestic cup in Iraqi football, featuring a record 168 clubs from the top four tiers of the Iraqi football league system, (20 from the Iraqi Premier League, 24 from the Iraq Division One and 124 from the Iraq Division Two and Iraq Division Three). The competition began on 10 September 2021 with the first-round matches involving teams from the third and fourth tiers, and will conclude in 2022 with the final at Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad. Khalid Mohammed Sabbar
Khalid Mohammed Sabbar is an Iraqi football defender who played for Iraq in the 1996 Asian Cup. Professionally he played for Al Zawra, Al Shorta, Arbil FC, Kirkuk FC and Al Ramadi. Khalid Mohammed Sabbar is remembered for scoring the 20-yard winner over Iran at the 1996 Asian Cup in Dubai, U.A.E. The goal scored helped Iraq to a 2-0 lead, came after good build-up play on the left of the Iranian box by Hussam Fawzi and Qahtan Chathir, the ball was eventually laid back for Khalid, who had only come on 20 minutes earlier as a substitute, his powerful shot found the back of the net and the celebrations began, Khalid sank to one knee and wept in delight. Ahmed Daham Karim
Ahmed Daham Karim (12 October 1967 – 29 December 2021) was an Iraqi association football, football manager and player who played as a midfielder. He represented the Iraq national football team, Iraq national team in the 1996 Asian Cup. Coaching career Daham signed for the Naft Maysan FC, Naft Maysan in August of the 2018–19 season, after Uday Ismail left. He led the team through good results and a very good season. He achieved fifth place in the league, six points behind third place. In the Iraqi Cup, the team went through the quarter final and was knocked out by Al-Talaba SC. Al Naft Sport Club ( ar, نادي النفط الرياضي, lit=''Oil SC'') is an Iraqi professional sports club based in the Adhamiyah District, East Districts of the Tigris River, Baghdad. Iraqi Premier League
The Iraqi Premier League ( ar, الدوري العراقي الممتاز) is the top level of the Iraqi football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it is operated by the Iraq Football Association (IFA) and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Iraq Division One. The league was formed by the IFA in 1974 as the Iraqi National Clubs First Division, the first nationwide league of clubs in Iraq. The current format sees 20 teams playing 38 matches each (playing each team in the league twice, home and away), totalling 380 matches in the season. The Iraq Division One is the second-highest division of the Iraqi football league system after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs. It is operated by the Iraq Football Association (IFA). Each season, the two top-finishing teams in the Division One are automatically promoted to the Premier League. The four lowest-finishing teams in the Division One are relegated to Division Two.
