Al-Ettifaq
Al Ettifaq Football Club ( ar, نادي الاتفاق لكرة القدم) is a professional football club in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Al-Ettifaq was established after the merging of three clubs in the city of Dammam at the year 1944. Al Ettifaq is the first Saudi team to win an international title – the 1984 Arab Club Champions Cup. Al Ettifaq is also the first team to win the Saudi Premier League without any defeat. Al Ettifaq is also the first side from Saudi Arabia to win the GCC Champions League. Al Ettifaq have a total of 13 different titles to their name. The Club also has its own futsal section. History Before the establishment of Al-Ettifaq, there were three clubs in Dammam that were founded in 1941 (Al-Taawoun, Al-Sha'ab and Al-Shabab). 1982–83 Saudi Premier League
The 1982–83 Saudi Premier League was the 7th season of Saudi Premier League since its establishment in 1976. Al-Ittihad were the defending champions, having won their 1st title in the previous season. The campaign began on 16 December 1982 and ended on 8 April 1983. The number of teams in the league was reduced from the previous season. The league was contested by 10 teams, the top 5 teams from Groups A and B. Going into the final matchday, Al-Hilal were leading the table with 1 point ahead of Al-Ettifaq. The two teams would face their city rivals in the final matchday on separate days. On 7 April 1983, Al-Ettifaq defeated Al-Nahda 2–0. This meant that Al-Hilal needed just a draw against Al-Nassr to secure the title, as they were ahead of Al-Ettifaq on goal difference as well. 2021–22 Saudi Professional League
The 2021–22 Saudi Professional League is the 46th edition of the Saudi Professional League, the top Saudi professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1976. Fixtures for the 2021–22 season were announced on 18 July 2021. Al-Hilal are the two-time defending champions after winning their 17th title last season. Al-Fayha, Al-Hazem, and Al-Tai join as the three promoted clubs from the 2020–21 MS League. They replace Al-Ain, Al-Qadsiah, and Al-Wehda who were relegated to the 2021–22 MS League. The 1983 King Cup was the 25th season of the knockout competition since its establishment in 1956. Al-Hilal were the defending champions, but they were eliminated by Al-Ahli in the semi-finals. The 1985 King Cup was the 27th season of the knockout competition since its establishment in 1956. Al-Hilal were the defending champions but they were eliminated by eventual champions Al-Ettifaq in the final. This was the first edition of the competition to have 16 teams participate instead of 32. The 2011–12 Saudi Crown Prince Cup was the 37th season of the Saudi Crown Prince Cup since its establishment in 1957. This season's competition featured a total of 16 teams, 14 teams from the Pro League, and 2 teams from the Qualifying Rounds. The 1988 King Cup was the 30th season of the knockout competition since its establishment in 1956. Al-Nassr were the defending champions but they were eliminated by eventual champions Al-Ittihad in the semi-finals. Al-Ittihad won their 6th title after defeating Al-Ettifaq 1–0 in the final. This was the first final to be held in the King Fahd International Stadium. As winners of the tournament, Al-Ittihad qualified for the 1989 Arab Cup Winners' Cup. 2015–16 Saudi First Division
2015–16 Saudi First Division was the 39th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season featured 11 teams from the 2014–15 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2014–15 Professional League: Al-Shoulla and Al-Orobah, and three new teams promoted from the 2014–15 Saudi Second Division: Damac as champions and group B winners, Al-Nojoom as runners-up and group A winners and Ohod as Third-place play-off winners. The league began on 21 August 2015 and concluded on 23 April 2016. The GCC Champions League ( ar, دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية), formerly known as the Gulf Cup for Clubs ( ar, كأس الخليج للأندية), was an annually organized football league tournament for clubs of the Arabian peninsula. The tournament was first organized in 1982 and was last played in 2015, the 31st edition. Attempts to play the 2016 and 2017 editions failed.
