Akwá (footballer)
Fabrice Alcebiades Maieco (born 30 May 1977 in Benguela), commonly known as Akwá, is an Angolan former association football, football player who played as a Forward (association football), forward for the Angola national football team, Angolan national team. From his international debut in 1995, Akwá represented Angola 78 times, scoring a record 39 goals. He played for them in three Africa Cup of Nations and captained the side at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Akwá has a brother, Rasca, who was a professional football player for Atlético Sport Aviação in Angola. Club career Akwá played for three football clubs in Portugal at the start of his career: S.L. Benfica, Benfica, F.C. Alverca, and Associação Académica de Coimbra - O.A.F., Académica de Coimbra. Benguela
Benguela (; Umbundu: Luombaka) is a city in western Angola, capital of Benguela Province. Benguela is one of Angola's most populous cities with a population of 555,124 in the city and 561,775 in the municipality, at the 2014 census. Al-Gharafa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الغرافة الرياضي) is a Qatari multisports club based in the Al Gharrafa district of Al Rayyan. It is best known for its football team, although it also has teams for other sports. It was established on 6 June 1979 as Al-Ittihad and later officially incorporated into the Qatar Football Association on 23 September of that same year. The Sheikh Jassim Cup ( ar, كأس الشيخ جاسم) is an annual men's super cup competition in Qatari football held between the winner of the Qatar Stars League and the Emir of Qatar Cup. History The inaugural Sheikh Jassim Cup was held in 1977. Prior to the 2014 Sheikh Jassim Cup, all 18 Qatari football clubs competed in the cup. The Arab Club Champions Cup ( ar, كأس العرب للأندية الأبطال, french: Ligue des Champions Arabe) is an annual regional club football competition organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) and contested by elite clubs from the Arab world. The tournament is contested by a total of 38 teams – 19 from the Asian Football Confederation and 19 from the Confederation of African Football.
