Akshay Parija
Akshay Kumar Parija (born 12 May 1954) is an Indian film maker known for his depictions of Odia culture and Odissi, Odissi dance in his films. Originally a banker, he currently lives in Dubai. Life and career Akshay Parija presently serves as Board Member and Executive Director to Blue Lines Shipping Group which he founded in the year 2010 . Blue Lines Shipping has its operation all across the globe. Parija has served in Burgan Bank, Kuwait for 8 years (1983-1991), in National Bank of Oman for 7 years (1991-1998) and 12 years in BankMuscat Forex in different senior positions. He has also served in various Banks in India during his 30 years of career in banking, started from IOB (Indian Overseas Bank) at Bissam Cuttack in the 1980s. Manmohan Mahapatra
Manmohan Mahapatra (ମନମୋହନ ମହାପାତ୍ର, 10 November 1951 – 13 January 2020) was an Odia filmmaker, director, producer, and writer. He won eight consecutive national film awards for his films ''Nishita Swapna'', ''Majhi Pahacha'', ''Tired Afternoon'', '' Neeraba Jhada'', ''Seeta Raati'', and ''Bhinna Samaya'', among others. His first film ''Seeta Raati'' made in 1976 was the first Odia film to be screened at international film festival in 1982. On 13 January 2020, Mahapatra died in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar at age 68 after battling prolonged kidney and heart ailments . Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami (, 8 August 1892 – 11 January 1948) was an Odissi musician, poet & composer, a Guru of traditional ''Rahasa'' or ''Rasa'' and film director in Odia-language films. Widely known for his efforts to keep alive the ''Rahasa'' or '' Rasa'', a traditional theatrical form depicting the romance of Radha and Krishna, Gosain became iconic for his renditions of classical Odissi songs, including ''Odissi, Chhanda, Champu, Kirtana, Bhajana, Janana,'' etc. His renditions on gramophone records pressed under the label His Master's Voice and over All India Radio made him a household figure in Odisha.
