Akira Inoue (film Director)
was a Japanese film director. Biography He is known for directing many jidaigeki television dramas. In 1950, he joined the Daiei studio and started working as an assistant director. He made his director debut with ''Yureikoban'' in 1960. He directed a lot of jidaigeki television dramas from 1970s to 1980s. In 1993, he directed Lone Wolf and Cub series film '' Lone Wolf and Cub: Final Conflict'', it was for the first time in 23 years he directed in the film. Inoue died from a cerebral infarction and pneumonia on 9 January 2022, at the age of 93. Kawaite Sōrō
is a Japanese jidaigeki or period drama that was broadcast in prime-time in 1984. It is also known as "A Samurai's Sorrow." It is based on Goseki Kojima and Kazuo Koike's manga of the same title. The lead star is Masakazu Tamura. Masakazu Tamura's elder brother Takahiro Tamura and younger brother Ryo Tamura also appeared. Three special editions of the drama were produced. Masakazu Tamura played the role on stage. Plot Kainage Mondo is a secret child of Tokugawa Yoshimune and is a skilled swordsman. His job is a part to test food for poison for Yoshimune. Zatoichi
is a fictional character created by Japanese novelist Kan Shimozawa. He is an itinerant blind masseur and swordsman of Japan's late Edo period (1830s and 1840s). He first appeared in the 1948 essay , part of Shimozawa's ''Futokoro Techō'' series that was serialized in the magazine ''Shōsetsu to Yomimono''. This originally minor character was drastically altered and developed for the screen by Daiei Film and actor Shintaro Katsu, becoming the subject of one of Japan's longest-running film series. A total of 26 films were made between 1962 and 1989. From 1974 to 1979, a television series was produced, starring Katsu and some of the same actors that appear in the films.
