Akershusingen
''Romerikes Blad'' is a local newspaper published in Lillestrøm, Norway. It covers the Romerike district. History and profile ''Romerikes Blad'' was established by Martin Julius Halvorsen in 1902 in Jessheim under the name ''Akershusingen'', and was affiliated with the Norwegian Labour Party. The name ''Romerikes Blad'' was taken in 1905. Between 1953 and 1967 it expanded from two to five editions a week. It mainly covered Ullensaker, Nannestad and Gjerdrum, although offices at Kjeller were opened in 1974. In 1990 it merged with the larger newspaper '' Akershus Arbeiderblad'', which mainly covered Skedsmo, Rælingen, Fet, Sørum and Lørenskog. The two newspapers had shared the same editor-in-chief for some time. ''Romerikes Blad'' had been the smaller newspaper before the merger, with a circulation of 10,694 copies in 1983 compared to ''Akershus Arbeiderblad'' which had 24,529 copies. Martin Julius Halvorsen
Martin Julius Halvorsen (4 November 1867 – 7 March 1951) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician for the Labour and Social Democratic Labour parties. Born in Kristiania, he took an education as a book printer. Having founded his own printing press in 1897, he moved it from Kristiania to rural Jessheim in 1902. Here, he founded the newspaper ''Akershusingen'', renamed to ''Romerikes Blad'' in 1904. Jessheim
Jessheim is a town in the Ullensaker municipality in Akershus of Norway. History The railway station with the Jessheim station was built in 1854 as part of the Hovedbanen line from Oslo to Eidsvoll. The railroad had at the initial construction of the railroad in 1854 called the stop "Trøgstad", but because of confusion with the town name Trøgstad in Østfold, the name was changed in 1897 to "Jessum". This name was used blasphemically, for example by military recruits who said they had passed through Bøn (town north of Jessheim) which sounds like "prayer" in Norwegian language, Norwegian to Jessum, which could sound like Jesus. The priests in the area complained to the bishop who in 1900 brought the case up with the local council and suggested the form "Jessheim". The name was changed to "Jesseim". Skedsmo
Skedsmo was a municipality in Akershus county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Romerike. The administrative centre of the municipality was the town of Lillestrøm. About one third of the municipal population lived in Lillestrøm. Other important towns are Skedsmokorset, Skjetten and Strømmen. A smaller settlement adjoining Lillestrøm is Kjeller. Terje Granerud
Terje Granerud (born 29 October 1951) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. Granerud was born in Nannestad to industrial labourer Alf Granerud (1920–1983) and housewife Karen Marie Hoftvedt (1920–1984). He only has high school education, from 1970, and started working as a journalist in 1973. He later became editor-in-chief of '' Kartellnytt'' (1978–1979), ''Romerikes Blad'' (1989–2002) and ''Eidsvoll Ullensaker Blad'' (2007 – present). He was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Akershus in 1981, and was re-elected on one occasion.
