Akershus Energi is a Norwegian power company that produces hydroelectricity. Production Annual production is 2.3 TWh. There are five plants in Glomma, three in Haldensvassdraget, and two in Skiensvassdraget. History The company was founded in 1922. Its first managing director was Augustin Paus. Augustin Paus
Augustin Thoresen Paus (22 July 1881, in Oslo, Christiania – 20 September 1945) was a Norwegian engineer and industrial leader in the hydropower industry. From 1918 he led the construction of the Hydroelectricity, hydroelectric power plant at Rånåsfoss, one of the largest in Europe. Glomma
The Glomma, or Glåma, is Norway's longest and most voluminous river. With a total length of , it has a drainage basin that covers fully 13% of Norway's surface area, all in the southern part of the country. Geography At its fullest length, the river runs from the lake Aursund near Røros in Trøndelag and runs into the Oslofjord at Fredrikstad.
