''Ajit'' (Daily Ajit) is a Punjabi language daily newspaper published in Jalandhar, India. The newspaper is run by Sadhu Singh Humdrad Trust . The newspaper was founded in 1941 in Urdu language. Veteran journalist and ex-Rajya Sabha member, Barjinder Singh Hamdard, is the current editor-in-chief. In 2007–08, it claimed a circulation of more than 333 thousand. History ''Ajit'' started its circulation with an Urdu language weekly edition in 1941 from Shaheed Sikh Missionary College Amritsar. Ajit Singh Ambalvi was its first editor. In November 1942, it became a daily newspaper and began printing from Lahore. After independence it moved its base to Jalandhar and Sadhu Singh Hamdard became its editor. In 1955, its name was changed to ''Ajit Patrika'' and the language was changed from Urdu to Punjabi. Later in 1957, its name was changed back to ''Ajit''. Hamid Ali Khan (27 January 1922 – 22 October 1998), better known by his stage name Ajit, was an Indian actor active in Hindi films. He acted in over two hundred movies over almost four decades. ''Ajith'' is a 2014 Indian Kannada-language romantic action film directed by Mahesh Babu starring Chiranjeevi Sarja and Nikki Galrani. It is a remake of the Tamil film ''Paiyaa''. G Prem is the producer of this film with five songs in the music direction of Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film got released across Karnataka cinema halls on 9 May 2014. Plot In Bangalore, Ajith, an unemployed young graduate meets Charulatha and falls in love with her. One day, Charulatha tells Ajith to drop her at her grandmother's house in Mumbai to escape from a forced marriage arranged by her father. The HAL Ajeet ( sa, अजीत; IAST: Ajīt, invincible or unconquerable) was a jet-powered fighter aircraft developed and manufactured by Indian aerospace manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It was operated by the Indian Air Force (IAF) between 1977 and 1991. The Ajeet is a derivative of the British Folland Gnat light fighter aircraft. The Gnat, which had been procured in large numbers for the IAF and produced under license by HAL, had acquitted itself favourably during its Indian service, including in active combat roles during multiple conflicts with Pakistan, including the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. As such, the IAF had a positive attitude towards the type, despite observing shortcomings in maintainability and some subsystems. Maitreya
Maitreya (Sanskrit: ) or Metteyya (Pali: ), also Maitreya Buddha or Metteyya Buddha, is regarded as the future Buddha of this world in Buddhist eschatology.
