Ajaaib
''Ajaaib'' is a 2000 Maldivian drama film written and directed by Haajara Abdul Kareem. Produced by Hussain Rasheed under Farivaa Films, the film stars Ahmed Asim, Mariyam Nazima, Koyya Hassan Manik and Waleedha Waleed in pivotal roles. It was released on 10 April 2000. Plotline Aadhanu ( Koyya Hassan Manik), happily married to Mareena (Sakeena Dhon Ali) and living with their two children, decides to relocate himself to Male' in order to acquire some funds needed to renovate his house. Rasheedha (Waleedha Waleed), a divorcee who is looking after her aged mother, Aisa Manike (Haajara Abdul Kareem) allows him to stay at her house as a tenant. Aadhanu and Rasheedha marries on Mareena's approval though Mareena's mother (Haajara Abdul Kareem) tried to talk her out of it. Koyya Hassan Manik
Hassan Ali Manik professionally known as Koyya Hassan Manik (25 April 1953 – 20 February 2021) was a Maldivian film actor and producer. Career 1989–2008: Early releases and first lead role with ''Ajaaib'' In 1989, Najuma offered him to feature in ''Hama Mihaaru'', one of the programs aired in the Dhivehi Rajjeyge Adu, where he took part in a total of eighteen episodes in a span of three years. During this period, a friend proffered him to star in the television comedy show; ''Bakhabaru'' alongside Fibo Ahmed Manik and continued to star in the show as part of the main cast. Haajara Abdul Kareem was a Maldivian actress, writer, director and producer mostly known for her villainous and comical roles in feature films. Career Haajara played the role of Jameela, a poor woman who struggles in a second marriage, in Ahmed Sharmeel and Ibrahim Waheed's family drama film '' Dhon Manma'' (1992) alongside Ibrahim Shakir and Sharmeel. Aishath Gulfa is a Maldivian film actress. She made her screen debut in 1999 with the video single "Nala Nala Dhanvaru Feni". Waleedha Waleed is a Maldivian film actress, choreographer, director, seamstress and politician. Career In 1989, at the age of fourteen, Waleedha Waleed made her screen debut with a video single directed by Musthafa Hussain. She went on to feature in several other video songs and films. Waleed had most recognition for her songs included in the ''Vasmeeru'' album, which was produced by ''Television Maldives''. Chilhiya Moosa Manik
Moosa Manik commonly known as Chilhiya Moosa Manik (30 January 1940 – 24 August 2021) was a Maldivian film actor and writer. Early life In 1977, while studying at Majeediyya School, Manik participated in the theatre play performed to celebrate the Golden jubilee of Majeediyya School. He then joined several other theatre performances as a hobby though his first priority lies in sketching and drawing, followed by writing. His most notable performance as a theatre artist includes his role as Viyazor; the administrative chief of the Portuguese kingdom who invaded and ruled over Maldives. His work as a theatre performer was appreciated by the government of Maldives and he was bestowed with the National Award of Recognition in 1983. Mohamed Abdulla (6 December 1974) is a Maldivian film producer, actor and a politician. Career Acting career In his career, Abdulla starred in a limited feature films; ''Bulbulaa'' (1999) and Amjad Ibrahim's comedy drama film ''Majubooru Loabi'' (2000). Sofa Thowfeek commonly spelled as Sofa Thaufeeq (11 August 1967) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Sofa Thaufeeq was born on 11 August 1967. Her father, Mohamed Thaufeeq was mostly known for his strong voice in the radio program ''Keerithi Rasoolaage Siyarathu'' while her mother, Aishath Fareedha is a homemaker and singer. Abdul Hannan Moosa Didi
Abdul Hannan Moosa Didi (13 June 1959) is a Maldivian singer, music composer and producer. Early life and career At the age of seventeen, Didi started performing casually with his friends which helped him develop self-confidence and improve his singing capabilities. In 1977, he was offered a stage performance in a tourist resort to celebrate one of their occasions, which resulted in him getting several offers. During the time, he was more keen to perform English language songs than Hindustani classical songs.
