Aisha Babangida
Aisha Babangida is a humanitarian leader and the chairperson of the Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman. She is the first child of the Former Nigerian Military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. Aisha is also the founder of ''Tasnim Foundation'', a charity organisation that provides scholarship to young girls in rural areas with the view of encouraging the girl child education. The Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman or BLPARW is a non-profit organisation which was initiated by the late Maryam Babangida, in September 1987 in Nigeria. She was the wife of former Military President of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida. Suleja is a city in Niger State, Nigeria, pop. (2016) local government area, 260,240, just north of Abuja, capital of the Suleja Emirate. Maryam Babangida
Maryam Babangida (1 November 1948 – 27 December 2009) was the wife of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, who was Nigeria's head of state from 1985 to 1993. Her husband was the target of criticism for rampant corruption during his regime. She was credited with creating the position of First Lady of Nigeria and making it her own. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (born 17 August, 1941) is a retired Nigerian Army general and politician. He served as military president of Nigeria from 1985 until his resignation in 1993. He rose through the ranks to serve from 1984 to 1985 as Chief of Army Staff; going on to orchestrate his seizure of power in a coup d'état against Muhammadu Buhari.
