Airport Terminal 3 ( ar, لمطار- مبنى رقم 3) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line (Dubai Metro), Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, UAE, serving the Dubai International Terminal 3, Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport. The station opened as part of the Red Line on 9 September 2009. It is close to the Emirates Group Headquarters. The station is also close to a few bus routes. The station consists of 2 tracks and 2 exits, one for getting off the station and one for connecting to the airport. Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 is an airport terminal at Dubai International Airport serving Dubai, UAE. When completed and opened on 14 October 2008, it was the largest building in the world by floor area and is currently the world's largest airport terminal, with over of space. The partly underground Terminal 3 was built at a cost of US$4.5 billion, exclusively for Emirates and has a capacity of 43 million passengers. However it was announced on 6 September 2012 that Terminal 3 would no longer be Emirates exclusive, as Emirates and Qantas had set up an extensive code sharing agreement. The Dubai Metro is a rapid transit rail network in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently operated by the French company Keolis. The Red Line and Green Line are operational, with a major 15 km (9.3 mi) extension to the Red Line known as Route 2020 to the Expo 2020 site announced in April 2015 and opened in 2021. The Red Line is one of the two lines on the Dubai Metro network in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Red Line runs from Rashidiya in the east to Jebel Ali in the west and travels parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road for most of its length.
