Ainsley Hall
Ainsley Hall (born 23 June 1972 in Jamaica) is a Cayman Islands cricketer. A right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper, he has played for the Cayman Islands national cricket team since 2005. Playing career Ainsley Hall made his debut for the Cayman Islands in the repêchage tournament for the 2005 ICC Trophy in Kuala Lumpur in February 2005. He played three matches in the tournament, winning the man of the match award against Italy after top-scoring with 51 in the Cayman Islands' innings. He made his first-class debut in August of that year, playing against Bermuda and Canada in the 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club. The following year, he played for the Cayman Islands in their two Stanford 20/20 matches against the Bahamas and Trinidad & Tobago. World Cricket League
The ICC World Cricket League (WCL) was a series of international one-day cricket tournaments for national teams without Test status (i.e., teams of Associate status) administered by the International Cricket Council. All Associate Members of the ICC were eligible to compete in the league system, which featured a promotion and relegation structure between divisions. The league system had two main aims: to provide a qualification system for the Cricket World Cup that could be accessed by all Associate Members and as an opportunity for these sides to play international one-day matches against teams of similar standards. Stanford 20/20
The Stanford 20/20 was a short-lived cricket tournament in the Caribbean island of Antigua. It was held first in July and August 2006 in the West Indies at the Stanford Cricket Ground, St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda, and then again in the same place in 2008. It was a variety of the popular Twenty20 format, which had been first introduced in English cricket in 2003. The tournament was separate to the Stanford Super Series, which was held in late 2008. The tournament was privately devised and funded by wealthy American businessman Allen Stanford, who held Antiguan dual nationality. The 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup was the second edition of the ICC Intercontinental Cup, a cricket competition for (then) 12 nations from Asia, Africa, North America and Europe.
