Ainbusk
Ainbusk ( Josefin Nilsson, Marie Nilsson Lind, Annelie Roswall and Birgitta Jakobsson) are a pop/folk vocal group from Gotland, Sweden. Formed in 1983, Ainbusk are best known for their single "Jag mötte Lassie" ("I Met Lassie") – frequently referred to simply as "Lassie" – which was the Christmas chart-topper in Sweden in 1990. They have released four studio albums, one live album and one compilation. Their music mixes pop with traditional Swedish influences; they have also recorded Swedish versions of English-language songs. In 2008, they participated unsuccessfully in the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest selection, Melodifestivalen. Monica Emma Josefin Nilsson, registered as ''Monica Emma Josefina Nilsson'' (22 March 1969 – 29 February 2016) was a Swedish singer and actress. Biography Born in När, Gotland, Josefin Nilsson was the daughter of revue artist and songwriter Allan Nilsson. She founded the Ainbusk group with her sister Marie Nilsson and two friends Annelie Roswall and Birgitta "Bittis" Jakobsson. They were noticed by Benny Andersson who wrote them two songs that were successful in Sweden. They released their first EP in 1990. In 1992, she received the Ulla Billquist scholarship, an award that encourages young artists. The following year, her first solo album, ''Shapes'' was written and produced by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of the ABBA group and ranked 14th in Swedish sales. ''Jag saknar dig ibland'' is a song written by Bobby Ljunggren and Henrik Wikström, and with lyrics by Ingela "Pling" Forsman, and originally performed by Ainbusk at Melodifestivalen 2008, where it ended up 6th in the semifinal in Linköping on 23 February 2008. The single peaked at 36th position at the Swedish singles chart. The song was also tested for Svensktoppen on 9 March 2008, but failed to enter the chart. It got a new chance the upcoming week, but once again it failed to enter the chart. Kristian Luuk performed the song during the Andra chansen act, referring to comedian Björn Gustafsson not being present in the pause acts. Even a music video was recorded. Göran Bror Benny Andersson (; born 16 December 1946) is a Swedish musician, singer, composer and producer best known as a member of the musical group ABBA and co-composer of the musicals ''Chess'', ''Kristina från Duvemåla'', and '' Mamma Mia!'' For the 2008 film version of ''Mamma Mia!'' and its 2018 sequel, '' Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again'', he worked also as an executive producer. "Forever Young" is a song by German synth-pop band Alphaville from their 1984 debut studio album of the same name. The single was successful in Scandinavia and in the European German-speaking countries in the same year. Melodifestivalen 2008 was the 47th Melodifestivalen, and the selection process for the 48th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. A new rule—''Lex Agnes''—went into effect in 2008 calling for each submitted entry to include a document containing all information relevant to the song. It was named after Agnes Carlsson, who was disqualified from the 2007 competition for publicly revealing details of her song before the deadline. Format Melodifestivalen 2008 included 32 songs split up into four heats with eight participants in each. The heats were held between 9 February and 1 March 2008 and at each, the two top placing songs went to the final, while the third and fourth place songs went to the Andra Chansen (Second Chance Round).
