Aidan Harte
Aidan Harte (born 17 August 1988) is an Irish hurler who plays for Galway Senior Championship Gort and previously at inter-county level with the Galway senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left wing-back. Playing career Gort Harte joined the Gort club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. HE joined the Gort senior team in advance of the 2005 Galway Championship. On 2 November 2008, Harte played in his first senior final when Gort faced Portumna. Lining out in the unusual position of right corner-back, he was later deployed in his regular position of midfield but ended the game on the losing side after the 1-18 to 2-07 defeat. After a three-year absence, Harte lined out in his second final on 6 November 2011. The 2012 Leinster Senior Hurling Championship Final, the deciding game of the 2012 Leinster Senior Hurling Championship, was a hurling match played on 8 July 2012 at Croke Park, Dublin. Contested by Galway GAA, Galway and Kilkenny GAA, Kilkenny, most experts gave the former little chance against the latter. Pre-match Galway were 11/2 outsiders going into this game. The 2010 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 114th staging of Ireland's premier hurling competition since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. A total of thirteen teams competed in the championship, with Tipperary unseating the four-time defending champions Kilkenny by 4-17 to 1-18 in the final at Croke Park, Dublin. John McIntyre (hurler)
John McIntyre (born 1961 in Lorrha, County Tipperary) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He is the former manager of the Galway senior hurling team. An effective centre-back, McIntyre enjoyed a relatively successful playing career at club level with Lorrha–Dorrha and at inter-county level with Tipperary. He was a member of the latter team for a number of seasons in the 1980s, when Tipperary were going through an uncharacteristic drought in terms of championship success. After his playing days ended McIntyre gained notoriety as a manager and coach at all levels. A successful stint as coach working alongside manager Billy McGrath of the Clarinbridge club team in Galway followed his first term as manager of the Offaly senior hurling team in the 1990s. Ger Loughnane
Gerard "Ger" Loughnane (born 27 January 1953) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Clare senior team. Born in Feakle, County Clare, Loughnane first played competitive hurling whilst at school in St. Flannan's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Clare minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 1972-73 National Hurling League. Loughnane immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen, and won two National Hurling League medals. He was a Munster runner-up on five occasions. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team at various times throughout his career, Loughnane won three Railway Cup medals. At club level he is a one-time championship medallist with Feakle. Throughout his career Loughnane made 26 championship appearances. All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year except one since 1887.
