Ahmad Said (born 15 February 1957) is a Malaysian politician who served as the 13th Menteri Besar of Terengganu from March 2008 to May 2014 and Member of the Terengganu State Executive Council (EXCO) from 1995 to his promotion to the Menteri Besarship in March 2008. He has served as State Leader of the Opposition of Terengganu since March 2019 and Member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kijal from October 1990 to November 1999 and again since March 2004. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He is also the State Chairman of BN and UMNO of Terengganu and Division Chief of UMNO of Kemaman. Ahmed Hassan Said is a prominent Egyptian businessman in the IT sector and has become a leading political figure as a result of the Arab Spring uprising and the ouster of former President Hosni Mubarak. Said was at Tahrir Square when the Egyptian Revolution of 2011 started. Said was one of the founders of the Free Egyptians Party (FEP). A party that was founded in April 2011 and is backed by leading business, political, and cultural leaders. FEP supports the principles of a liberal, democratic, and secular political order in post-Mubarak Egypt. Said was the first President of FEP. Ahmed Said ( ar, أحمد سعيد; 29 August 1925 – 4 June 2018) was an Egyptian radio broadcaster. He was the first director and main announcer for Sawt al-Arab from its founding in 1953 until 1967.
